The Trigger Code
For over ten years The Trigger Code has seen an array of musicians occupy the bands line up, but has always primarily been the songwriting vehicle of taylor sorensen - the soft-spoken, yet charismatic singer and performer that is the identity behind the trigger code.
Based out of Nashville, Tennessee since 2004, the trigger code caught the attention of Dualtone music group's Paul Roper when playing an impromptu writers night circa 2007. Since then The Trigger Code has released two projects under Dualtone - '08's self-titled EP and '10's full-length album, no preparation for parting. In 2010 secret road music services showed interest in the music and has since been in a partnership with Dualtone securing placements in tv an film for the trigger code. Outlets for the music via tv include One Tree Hill, Vampire Diaries, Chicago Fire, New Girl and HBO's critically acclaimed True Detective with the use of "Fugitive Kind" for the season #1 trailer.
Julie Christensen, who’s authored five independent albums and sung with everyone from Leonard Cohen to Lou Reed, has surrounded herself with a team of team players. In guitarists Sergio Webb and Chris Tench, the “absence of ego” Christensen lauds, is on full display. As Tench creates the ideal sonic landscape, Webb populates it with one stunning surprise after another. Propelling the enterprise are drummer Steve Latanation and bassist Bones Hillman, who combine taste and telepathy into something so unified they seem a single entity.
