HANFORD, Calif. – On Saturday April 21st J-Live Entertainment founder Joey Perez has teamed with Jeremy Luchau to establish 559 Fights, which is the new wave of amateur mixed martial arts in the Central Valley.
559 Fights will offer the highest quality of amateur MMA
"2012 is our 10th year anniversary in business and we promised to take local entertainment to new heights,” said Perez, who has been on the cutting edge of entertainment in the Central Valley. “This event is a prime example of being innovative, fresh and new along with providing local mixed martial arts fans a place to experience some amazing live fights."
“I’ve always wanted to dabble in starting another MMA promotion from scratch, at least helping in some shape of form,” said Luchau, who helped develop one of the world’s top regional pro promotions - Tachi Palace Fights. “Joey was always the type of guy I wanted to work with and feed off of. We are both young and hungry and eager to try new and different things. This is certainly different.”
The first ever 559 Fights will take place at the Kings Fairgrounds in Hanford, Calif. where Perez launched a highly successful viewing party featuring Hanford’s own Chad Mendes.
Tickets for 559 Fights will go on sale February 20th at 10 a.m. on Ticketmaster or Ticketweb.com (Search: 559 Fights).
Fights will be sanctioned through the California Amateur Mixed Martial Arts Organization.
559 Fights will put together eight to 10 action-packed bouts with the first fight scheduled for 3:30 p.m. with the doors opening at 2:30.
