The Long Players are revisiting Paul McCartney & Wings classic Band on the Run.
Live & In-Sequence at 3rd & Lindsley!
In 1973, Paul recorded his fifth album since The Beatles split, travelling to Africa without his full band who had abruptly quit. Soldiering on through a tense period relying on his wife Linda, Denny Laine and Beatles engineer Geoff Emrick, he ended up creating an album that was a career highlight... both a critical and worldwide commercial success. Songs like the title track, Jet, Helen Wheels, Bluebird and Let Me Roll It weresuccessful singles or FM Radio staples. The album has sold over 6 million copies and is listed among Rolling Stone Magazine's "500 Greatest Albums Of All Time".
Helping The Long PLayers bring this album to life is an amazing cast of talented artists who all make wonderful music in their own right but are putting that aside to help us celebrate this great album.
