It's said there used to be a time in the United States of America when you truly got what you paid for, straight-up, no trickery or hidden clauses involved. In today's day and age you can still get that with country singer/songwriter Chris Knight Chris Knight, meanwhile, hails from Kentucky, where his blue-collar musical insights have made him a name of note in the country music game. There's nothing primped or pretty about this Slaughter, KY, native. He's just got a way of interlacing stories and melodies, all with the simple power of his voice and guitar. Chris’ latest is called Little Victories, and isn’t that what real country music should provide during these plastic end times? “Knight continues to be one of the best songwriters in any genre of music, and the songs here are a celebration of the reality of rural America. They’re a picture of resilience and, if not prosperity, then at least peace with your lot in life and a desire to make the best of it.” (Fred Phillips, Something Else). Youngstown native Robbie Jay opens.
