Thursday, Sep 06, 2012 11:00 PM EDT
(10:30 PM Doors)
Feinstein's at Loews Regency, New York, NY
"Some of the best talent, emerging and established, from the nightclub and musical-comedy circuits." - Wall Street Journal
This week's lineup includes:
MARILYN MAYE (Johnny Carson's Favorite Singer; performing again after her early show in which she stars with Michael Feinstein), DION MILLINGTON (acclaimed by NY Times playing Effie in current Harlem Repertory Theatre production of DREAMGIRLS), LA TANYA HALL (celebrated vocalist who has worked with everyone from Harry Belafonte to Patti LaBelle), ALEX GETLIN (recently starred in her own show at Feinstein's with Michael Feinstein as her guest star!), MICHAEL HUGHES (A new voice just arrived in NYC).
In a statement, the show's creator/producer/host, Scott Siegel said, "The star power that we're getting every week at The Ballyhoo, both on stage and in the audience, is really putting this show on the map. Among the stars that have already performed in the month-and-a-half that we've been running have included Alice Ripley, Larry Gatlin, Alan Campbell, Lauren Kennedy, Marilyn Maye, and now Barbara Walsh this coming Thursday. Among the celebrities that have come in to see the show have been Clive Davis (Sony Records), Angela Bassett, Courtney Vance, Kim Cattrall, Laila Robins, and many others. It has been, in a word, exciting!"
