Yoga Boner is three American adult males who were bred to play their instruments together on stage. Their heights, ages, and weights vary, but they are all of average intelligence and above average libido. They were raised on a strict diet of organic MSG, crushed up Allman Brothers vinyl, and leftover doo-wop. The guitar player has too many pedals and is a hoarder of all things feline, the bass player is permanently hypnotized, and the drummer is a nomad who forgot how to wander. When on stage, they resemble a sonic Cerebus. They are currently working on an EP to be released this winter, and will be playing as many live shows as their captors allow.
THE BRIBES are a powerful Chicago group of dirty, moody, soul-moving rock and roll. Roots of musical taste range from classical, blues, jazz, and rock.
Up and coming "acoustic country punk" band Bad Bad Meow recently migrated from the deep south of North Carolina to take the city of Chicago on a ride. The band delivers a fun, energy packed set with clever and edgy lyrics that you can't help but find yourself humming later. They've successfully created their own unique style vaguely reminiscent of The White Stripes, Violent Femmes, or the Pixies. Singer/guitarist/evil genius Alen Khan and drummer Sarah Sydow have been playing together for over four years under a multitude of equally crazy band names before they settled in Chicago and joined up with local slide guitarist Chris Ray (and an ever rotating cast of guest musicians equally charmed with the music and enthusiastic to collaborate with the genius that is Bad Bad Meow).
Tower manages to meld their love of Pink Floyd, Neil Young, and Burt Bacharach into a cohesive and powerful sound rarely heard. Featuring Chris Hoss on Vocals and Guitar and Justin Jacobson on Pedal Steel Guitar Tower will relax your mind then melt it in a haze of psychedelic goodness.
