Finding inspiration from old records by her grandparents record player like “Yellow Submarine” by
The Beatles and “Close to You” by The Carpenters, Clara developed an ear for harmonies and took
up singing in her local community church as a child. In high school, Lofaro interned at Toronto-based
recording studio No. 9 before ending up at Berklee College of Music in Boston on scholarship.
Clara’s continued passion has always been about reaching people through music and finding a
common ground between ever-common barriers. Currently residing in New York City, Clara tours in
the U.S., Canada and Europe and has released albums titled, “Black + Blue Pearl”, “Perfekt World”,
and “Clara Lofaro” as an independent artist. Her newest, self-titled album was produced by Robert
Smith (Lady Gaga, U2, David Bowie, Billy Joel), Anthony Resta (Collective Soul, Shawn Mullins,
Duran Duran), and Harold Stephan.
This year alone, Clara has placed six songs in TV/Film including her single “Just Smile” on a national
television commercial for Vanity Fair’s, “Wipe on a Smile” campaign. “I Choose You” and “Rescue
Me” are on promo for popular reality show “The Voice”, “Can’t Go On” is streaming on ABC
and “Parade” was picked up on Last Call with Carson Daly during his spotlight interview with
In the past, Lofaro has performed alongside notable artists Stevie Nicks, Edwin McCain, Kimberly
Locke, and Jeffrey Gaines. She was heard by her largest audience ever when she sang “When You
Wish Upon a Star” for tens of millions of people in the Disney Super Bowl commercials featuring
MVP players of the NFL teams. She is the winner of 6 Toronto Music Awards to date.
Clara continues to collaborate with various artists as a songwriter and has been producing at the
legendary Avatar Studios in Manhattan.
