WOLF IN A SPACESUIT, the musical project of singer/songwriter ALGEBRA HUXLEY, feeds guitars, thrift-store organs and found sounds into a busted MPC and over the years, the resulting tunes found their way onto a handful of EPs and a debut LP – efforts filled with infectious beats and smooth harmonies.  The classic pop tracks have been compiled into The Complete Collection, self-released last month, and hearing them all together highlights the outfit’s ability to create a sound that is not only catchy, but surprisingly mature under its clever pop exterior.  On the road with WIAS as an opening act and a member of the SPACESUIT collective is SPOOKY CHEDDAR.  The musical project of HEIKO JULIEN, the tour supports the digital and limited cassette release of PYRMD MUSC, an effort full of whimsical charm and goofily infectious melodies.  Knoxville’s YUNG LIFE play fuzzy, dreamy synth pop – the kind that was made in 1982 instead of 2012, the kind where shadowy vocals are muted behind swirls of hazy keyboards and throbbing beats, and the kid that Impose declares sounds like “what we hope Billboard charting bands of 2013 all sound like on every Clear Channel station everywhere.”  WINDBREAKER, the new project of members from LAZER CRYSTAL, known for its experimental rock offerings that are equally at home on dance floors and home stereos, opens here tonight.
