We here at the Empty Bottle are very excited to welcome the party monster vibes of SHAKE IT FOR GRANDMA to our stage tonight. As much as we like dirty sweaty rock and sludgey-as-shit metal, we like to bust out undeniable booty-shaking music (see BIG FREEDIA / DAN DEACON) and get down from time to time as well. Heck, we’ve got moves you’ve never even dreamed of for the glam-mystical electro-pop dance action of SHAKE IT FOR GRANDMA. Their new EP, Delerium Tremendous is, in the words of QRO Mag, “an embarrassment of electro-pop riches: robust and whimsical, danceable & effervescent.” Featuring beautiful harmonies, crisp beats and a flair for show, this is one Wednesday night dance party you’ll be sorry if you miss. Equally at home in face paint and playful tuneage is HOME BODY, the genuinely fun duo from Northampton, MA who are not afraid of choreography, jumpsuits and playing dress up. They’re joined tonight by two Chicago duos - ARCHITECTURE, whose recently released debut, When We Were Young is a dreamy blend of organic and electronic elements fused with dark pop and nostalgia and LOVE & RADIATION, an outfit that blends distorted guitars, synth lines and programmed drums into dance-influenced spirit pop.
