Vinyl release show for BEAK'S new album "Eyrie."
Beak's adept combination of blistering heaviness and melodic prog-rock sits within the traditions of Chicago's post metal landscape – at the same time fitting as well with the likes of Neurosis, Godflesh, Isis, and Killing Joke. Even before an official release, Beak has provided direct support for Killing Joke, as well as sharing the stage with Pentagram, Anvil, Weedeater, Mouth of the Architect, and more.
Influenced by alcohol and video games - Ganon's music karate chops your soul. You know what im saying. I mean it just reaches deep down and karates you way down inside where you never knew something could karate chop you before. Other bands have never even come close to the level of karate that Ganon has reached. I think that their music should set the bar of what other bands should try to do when they hit the studio and try to make music to karate chop the listener.
RABID RABBIT (ex Frontier / Dishes / Camero Rouge)
"...recalls avante garde sludgecore and drone bands like Isis and Earth...just because instruments are tuned down to C doesn't mean they can't throw in an unexpected instrumental freakout or unrelenting drum assault" -The Onion
