Tomás Saraceno on the Roof: Cloud City
Through November 4, 2012 (weather permitting)
Artist Tomás Saraceno has created Cloud City, a constellation of large, interconnected modules constructed with transparent and reflective materials. Merging art, architecture, and science, Saraceno’s work explores the ways in which we inhabit and experience our environment. Visitors may enter and walk through the structure or view it from the main level of the Met’s Roof Garden, set against the dramatic backdrop of Central Park and the Manhattan skyline. Made possible by Bloomberg. Additional support provided by Cynthia Hazen Polsky and Leon B. Polsky, The Daniel and Estrellita Brodsky Foundation, William S. Lieberman Fund, and Eugenio Lopez.
