21 years and over
++The Click Clack Boom: Unique vocal front with experimental, pop, and classic roots. A rock and roll band who has shared the stage with artists ranging from Stone Temple Pilots to Blitzen Trapper to Kid Cudi. From Brooklyn, NY. The Click Clack Boom.
++Brooklyn band Motive have been playing around town for quite some time now, opening up for larger names like The Vaccines and Bear Hands. After releasing their self-titled debut EP last year, they’re kicking off 2012 with a series of new songs and music videos.
++Dead Stars: This band is a direct descendant of all the best 90s grunge bands. Dinosaur Jr. and Sebadoh. Their song “Kill Me in the Summertime” could easily be straight up mistaken for a new Yuck track. It’s got the catchy chorus you can sing along to, the clever repetitive guitar line you’ll want to learn to play along to, and the saturnine sensibilities we love to revel in. It’s definitely a jam, as are the rest of their songs.
++Whether it’s a dark dancehall, a lively club, or the earbuds of your iPod, the atmospheric sounds of NYC-based band Indyns contain the beats that can fill a room until, before you know it, your heart beat syncs with the synths and the drums. The Indyns aren’t your average New York City cocktail. The quintet is four-parts Gentry, Arkansas, one-part Bangkok Thailand, not to mention an endless stream of influences, ranging from Joy Division and the Pixies to John Updike and David Hatcher Childress.
