Rare reunion of two members of The Band
JIM WEIDER, former member of the legendary group THE BAND & current member of The LEVON HELM BAND is a Master of classic Telecaster Guitar, and is renowned for his rock and blues-based signature sound. He is among a select group of musicians with an endorsement from Fender and, for the past three decades, he’s earned enormous respect from fellow musicians and music fans throughout the world.
GARTH HUDSON is a Canadian born multi-instrumentalist and co-founder of the legendary rock group The Band. Martin Scorsese filmed them with a few well-known friends, The Last Waltz. He was a principal architect of The Band’s unique sound. Known for his mastery of the Lowrey organ, Hudson’s orchestral tone sense and style anticipated many of the sonic advances of the polyphonic synthesizer. Other primary instruments – piano, electronic keyboards, tenor saxophone, soprano saxophone, and accordion. You hear Mr. Hudson playing his compositions in several films such as Raging Bull / The Right Stuff (Academy Award score w/ Bill Conte). He has recorded / performed with Leonard Cohen, Bob Dylan, Marianne Faithful, Gipsy Kings, Norah Jones, Los Lobos, Van Morrison, Robert Palmer, Wilco, Neko Case, Thumbs Carllile, Eric Clapton, Dr.John, Bill Frisell, and dozens more.
