A decade ago, the noise-rock band ARAB ON RADAR was the hottest thing out of the experimental-noise stronghold of Providence, RI.  After an eight-year run, ARAB ON RADAR broke up, reunited and then split again, and now ¾ of that band have risen from the corpse of that band and they are DOOMSDAY STUDENT.  A Jumper’s Handbook, DOOMSDAY STUDENT’s debut LP, was released late last year and fans of their previous incarnation have much to be jazzed about – the high pitched vocals, ferociously sour guitar dueling and bonkers primal cymbal-snare whirlwind is still there.  The new LP is a return to the potent, noisy, sweat-drenched atmosphere and still proves to be a stellar debut, welding the finest traits of their past ventures into a coherent whole.  Tonight they’re joined by fellow Providenciers TINSEL TEETH and local sound experimenters OOZING WOUND and fuzzed-out sonic slayers SPANYURD.  Handy note - Impose Magazine has a handy word of warning from a TINSEL TEETH show: “I decided to stand right in the front.  As soon as the first note was struck, their lead singer, a smallish girl who seemed nice enough, spit blood all over my fucking face.”  Just sayin- you’ve been warned.
