UNCLE SKELETON TO RELEASE DOUBLE-LP ALL TOO HUMAN
Third full-length record covers lots of ground
The term “double-LP” immediately conjures up questionable undertakings ala Guns N’ Roses Use Your Illusion series or Smashing Pumpkins Melon Collie double album but those fears are best put aside when considering the latest opus from Uncle Skeleton, All Too Human. The album, as a whole, runs just over an hour and wastes no time in covering a myriad of sounds.
The album embraces the vinyl format as it’s intended destination as it breaks down into four conceptual song groups across the individual sides of wax. Side A is comprised of the danceable upbeat tracks, Side B conjures up melancholy pop songs with bossa nova influences, Side C is a journey through lo-fi sound design and Side D explores ambient compositions. Throughout the entirety of the album the listener finds the familiar lush arrangements, syncopated beats and vintage electronic sounds Uncle Skeleton blends best.
The album will be available via yk records starting May 1st and at local Nashville record stores The Groove and Grimey’s. Uncle Skeleton will perform May 4th at Mercy Lounge to celebrate the release of the album.
