AXIS:SOVA’s muggy haze, populated by rambling guitars and cascading synths is finally captured on record on their debut LP, (I Feel Like) Laying Low, due out next month via Kill Shaman Records.  Full of beautifully junky, skewed surf-rock complete with undeniable hooks and scorching guitar pyrotechnics, Altered Zones praised the effort for evoking “a sort of breezy BRIAN WILSON meets juke joint swagger, flying high above a musty chasm of punchy swamp-rock boogie and SPACEMENT 3 warped blues.”  E+, featuring members of DISAPPEARS and HEAVY TIMES, is a band that shimmers with alien vocal harmonies, infectious synth flourishes and steady driving beats.  Another super-group of sorts, E.T. HABIT, featuring members of HUMAN EYE, PELTS, MICKEY and CURTAINS, opens tonight’s free Monday show.
