One of New York’s best kept secrets, award-winning composer/lyricist/vocalist Steven Lutvak has been delighting New York cabaret audiences with his wit and wisdom for over a decade. The recipient of two Jonathan Larson Performing Arts Foundation grants, a New American Works Grant from the NEA, The Johnny Mercer Emerging Songwriter Award, The Kleban Award for Lyric Writing as well as the Fred Ebb Songwriting Award, Steven also wrote the theme song to the hit film, Mad Hot Ballroom. He is the composer of the musicals, The Wayside Inn (based on the play by A.R. Gurney), Esmeralda, Almost September, Campaign of the Century and the forthcoming A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder, which is set to open this Fall at Hartford Stage.
