Spin Called Nadler's 2011 full-length "one of the year's most disarming records...a cyclical finger picked beauty that, once you lean into it some, never lets you go, "while Pitchfork gave it an "Albums of the Year: Honorable Mention" and an 8.1 review. NPR first listen called her music "dreamy, melancholy, and utterly captivating." The release made many year end lists including America Songwriter, WXPN, and Drowned in Sound's Favorite albums of 2011 list,

Currently she is heading out in support of her soon to be released companion to the self-titled record, aptly called "The Sister" out May 29th on her own label, Box Of Cedar Records.
Making music for nearly a decade and creating art for a lifetime her ethereal songwriting remains rich with imagery and beautiful textures.
Before moving out on her own label, Marissa released her last two critically-acclaimed efforts, Songs III: Bird on the Water (2007) and Little Hells (2009) with Kemado Records. The former led to two nominations for the 2008 PLUG awards for "best female artist of the year" and "best Americana record of the year."
