Tonight is a free night of lone man sonic manipulation, headlined by Chicago multi-instrumentalist/composer SETH SHER, who returns to the Empty Bottle with his one man noise machine PSYCHIC STEEL. SHER has toured extensively with several bands/projects of varying styles throughout the past decade, including COUGHS, OAKEATER, GA’AN, ZATH and AKHKHAZU, and his solo work with PSYCHIC STEEL lead to a residency at the 2011 ACRE (Artists’ Cooperative Residency & Exhibitions). Acoustic guitar wunderkind KEN CAMDEN returns to the Bottle with tunes from his most recent LP, Lethargy & Repercussion out via Kranky and NIGHT TERROR, the intense electronic prog project from GA’AN and MAGICAL BEAUTIFUL’s TYSON TORSTENSEN. BRETT NAUCKE, who has played as CATHOLIC TAPES and with TORTOISE, takes a break from his annual, cut-throat CHILI SYNTH COOK OFF, and opens here tonight.
