21 years and over
With an EP release on True Panther and an LP out last month, Mixed Emotions via Beggars Group, TANLINES have officially become a much buzzed about outfit – including a fairly hilarious music video directed by JULIAN BARRETT of The Might Boosh fame. The Brooklyn-based production duo is made up of JESSE COHEN [PROFESSOR MURDER] and ERIC EMM [DON CABALLERO] and traffic in hazy, organic, sundazed dance music, based as much on bongo ripples and springy tropical guitars as synth riffs or brass kicks. The duo have been featured as “Rising” on Pitchfork and “Best Local Music Twitter” by Village Voice – better check em out now before they rise all the way to a more expensive ticket. Hitting the road with TANLINES is REWARDS, the project of CHAIRLIFT co-founder AARON PFENNING. This summer REWARDS will be releasing a 12” via DFA Records for single “Equal Dreams,” featuring SOLANGE KNOWLES and BLOOD ORANGE, aka LIGHTSPEED CHAMPION. A multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, producer and vocal contributor to CHAIRLIFT releases, we’re excited to experience how REWARDS translates to our stage. Chicagoans/physics nerds, THE FIELD AUXILLARY return to celebrate the release of a new single, showcasing the reverberating soaring pop found on their new single.
