The twenty-second annual Night of a Thousand Stevies – the largest and most beloved Stevie Nicks fan event in the world – returns to New York City's Highline Ballroom on May 11th. Night of a Thousand Stevies 22: DREAMS UNWIND was inspired by the iconic "Moonlight (A Vampire's Dream)" from last year's Nicks release In Your Dreams, and her other dream-laced songs (including the Fleetwood Mac opus "Dreams").
Scheduled to perform tonight are returning stars Hattie Hathaway, Belladonna (California), The Ho-Hos (Cathy Cervenka and Jill Pangallo), Poison Eve and Darlinda Just Darlinda, Jazmen Flowers (Mississippi), Amber Martin, Vangeline Theater with Jonathan Nosan, St. Eve, harpist Mia Theodoratus with Russian band La Konga Russe, Gypsy Wilde, Charlene Coran (Colorado), Machine Dazzle and Darrell Thorne of The Pixie Harlots, The Divine Grace, Billy O, The Rachel Klein Theater, Heather Litteer, Johnny Quinlan, and Lady Zombie. Enchantresses of Ceremony will include show founder Chi Chi Valenti and the "all-Stevie, all-Fleetwood" DJ roster features NOTS legends Sammy Jo and Johnny Dynell, along with VJ Tre (DC), who will share original Nicks multimedia and rare clips for the first hour of the party.
The 2012 debut performers and ensembles are electronic dance duo The Crystal Ark (former LCD Soundsystem guru Gavin Russom and House of Domination legend Viva Ruiz), gender-blending performance art collective The Play Babies (Louisville, Kentucky), Mirabelle (Michelle Hotaling and Scott Slater, who have just released Crystal Revisions, an all-Stevie project), NYC dragster and longtime NOTS fan Gypsy Dust, futurist trio En Subtitles (Clifton Brown Jr., dance music star Erickatoure Aviance, and One-Half Nelson), and Broadway/New Orleans choreographer Chad Luke Schiro, who will create the opening number.
