Whether you want to start a personal blog, a community blog or a blog focused on your hobby, this course will teach you the basics you need. It will address the importance of fine-tuning your concept and goals, and finding the right design and tone. You will learn about the basic blogging platforms and tools, as well as technical information about servers, infrastructure, security issues, and how to set up and manage your blog. The pros and cons of user registration will be outlined, as well as the merits of Twitter, Facebook and email newsletters. You’ll learn how to add visuals and audio. And finally you’ll learn how to get going and keep it going, including how to recruit helpers, sponsors or other funding and readers.

PLEASE NOTE: PLEASE NOTE: This is a self-paced online seminar without live instructor. Facilitated versions are available.
