THE SKULL DEFEKTS are Sweden’s answer to the States’ SONIC YOUTH and the Netherlands’ THE EX and they're and one of the centerpieces of the Swedish experimental rock scene. Since their creation in 2005, THE SKULL DEFEKTS have taken their base of classic rock with massive guitar riffing and infused it with their interest in circular composition, drone, tribal music, Indian ragas, 60s minimalism, and experimental music from numerous time periods. The band also acts as a more rock-leaning creative vessel for legendary vocalist DANIEL HIGGS, the D.C. post-hardcore band LUNGFISH's shamanistic, growling poet, but don't let his presence outweigh the whole. The group, who will be performing without HIGGS tonight, is on tour for their latest musical outfit, Dances in Dreams of the Unknown, out on April 8th on Thrill Jockey Records. KILLER MOON is a psychedelic rock jam band. Extended instrumentals paired with ambient vocals make KILLER MOON a must-see for anyone looking to expand their mind and musical horizons. Sounding like BLACK SABBATH slowly melting into THE DOORS, KILLER MOON is like an out of body experience under the influence of music. E | G | O, formerly known as MASSIVE EGO, combines unapologetic punk swagger, naturally psychedelic brainwaves, folk-lovinglyness, and killer pop sensibility into one gleaming badass package. These multi-instrumentalist madmen are notorious for their madcap instrument switching and white-hot, high-energy live music. Their first full-length album, Don’t, was released the first week of April, and is 40-minutes of mind-bending sonic assault.
