Additional Information

It's our first FREE MONDAY of May and we're kicking it off right with four bad-ass local bands that are sure to blow your brains right outta your butts. Chicago synth-punk trio ABSOLUTELY NOT returns to headline the Bottle, playing their first show here since all the way back in October of 2013, for chrissake. These enthusiastic, fuzzy, indie-leaning garage rockers are always a delight when they bring their snotty, charismatic and lean punk tunes to our stage. Time Out Chicago has praised them for generating “infectious one-two beat punk chords. It's an IGGY POP meets KEVIN BARNES approach to jagged garage-rock." Chicago-based LE TOUR have been creating challenging and genre-bending psychedelic punk jams for the past three years. The band released a new music video for their abrasive hardcore track "Beat Up" in early April 2014 and are currently finishing their first full-length album at Pieholden Suite Sound. This is a tour kick-off show for LE TOUR, so be sure to turn up and send em off right. Returning for their first show here since opening for MAC BLACKOUT back in January are local ne'er do wells FLESH PANTHERS. These leather-clad maniacs always leave our stage in shambles when they hit us over the head with their infectious, punk-tinged rock & slop. It's no surprise their last release was on Tall Pat Records. Power-popping fools MAMA are taking this city by storm with their punky take on old-school rock'n'roll that's all claws and teeth. They first played here back in January on that same bill with FLESH PANTHERS & MAC BLACKOUT and they were headlining a Free with RSVP show six short weeks later. The band currently has one EP under its belt and it kicks out the motherfuckin' jams with brain-frying guitar licks, punishing rhythms and blown-out vocals. You're definitely not gonna want to them as they open this kick-ass Monday night show.
