//// Blue Foundation started out in 2000 based on Bichi aka. Tobias Wilner’s cooperation with various artists and musicians.
The music can be described as a mix of melodic dreamy pop influenced by indietronica and shoegaze. Tobias Wilner just called it folk music for modern people. With influences from shoegaze, folk, turntablism, electronica, alternative classical music, film noir and contemporary music.
Blue Foundation released the first 7” via MoshiMoshi. The 1st, self-titled album was released shortly after on the electronica label April Records (Future 3, Opiate). During the last years, Blue Foundation have expanded its audience, embracing both the underground and the alternative mainstream. You can find the beautiful and cinematic sound of Blue Foundation in major blockbusters such as “Twilight”, “Miami Vice” and their music has also appeared on “The OC-Show”, “So You Think You Can Dance”, “The Cleveland Show” etc… Blue Foundation released the 3rd album “Life Of A Ghost” in 2009 on Astralwerks.
Since 2003 Jens B. Christiansen has been producing challenging yet melodic electronic music under the moniker Rumpistol (= "Space Gun"), so far resulting in 4 albums, 2 EPs plus lots of remixes of acts like Efterklang, Indians & Blue Foundation. Rumpistol has performed his detailed signature sound at festivals and venues across Europe, North America, Mexico & China.
Sara Savery is well-known as the lead singer/bass player/multi instrumentalist and producer in both People Press Play (Morr Music) and Ghost Society and for her collaboration with Blue Foundation and Bichi.
LoveCryme is an electro-pop duo based in NYC.
