21 years and over
Scottish indie-punk rockers PAWS released one of our favorite records last year - Cokefloat, out on Fat Cat Records. The trio ripped out hearts and fried brains at SXSW this past March with over a dozen sets of their gritty but powerful poppy punk that's as colorful and jubilant as it is refreshingly pissed-off. In a live setting the band is all claws and teeth, engaging onlookers with their spontaneous but raw energy that'll leave fans almost as tired and sweaty as the band itself. Philadelphia-based four-piece LITTLE BIG LEAGUE, who probably take their name from the excellent 90s baseball film of the same name, are hitting the road with PAWS on this short fall tour and we're lucky enough to have them on their last stop. With a sound that is heavily influenced by 90s indie guitar-rock and not at all by baseball or the aforementioned film, the band mixes tense aggression with gorgeous, unique vocals and striking lyrical imagery. Their debut album, These Are Good People, out this past summer on Tiny Engines, is a stunning, coming-of-age indie-rock debut that revels in the vulnerability of us all. Local not-so-new POLISH GIFTS, featuring LUCAS from RADAR EYES, return tonight with their sloppy, poppy punk rock'n'roll. They're bringing the tunes, so you bring the smiles, and we can all get down forever.
