21 years and over
Returning for their first show at the Bottle in damn-near two years, it's LA-based rock'n'rollers CRYSTAL ANTLERS! The trio's sonically shredding, relentless amalgam of psych, garage and prog-rock has made fans of Rolling Stone who has characterized them as easily maintaining "consistency despite a complete inability to be pinned to any specific movement or trend." We’re more than pleased to welcome them back to our stage tonight, and - wouldn't ya know it - they'll have a brand new record in tow. The new LP, titled Nothing Is Real, came out on October 15th via Innovative Leisure, and has received universal praise. All Music finished their review with this bit of praise: "Though it blisters with intensity, it boasts well-written songs illustrated by canny production, played with confident recklessness and vulnerable honesty." If you've seen em here in the past, you know they're going to rip our stage a new one, even on a Sunday. MY DAD is not your dad, but they are from Chicago and they're total fucking maniacs. With brilliant song titles like "Tom Waits For No Man" that explode in a fury of noisy, screeching guitars, shouted vocals, and an attack of multiple drummers, MY DAD blends math-rock, noise-rock and metal, punishing any and all that stand in their way. Blending rootsy Americana with an old-school indie-rock ethos, ROWS OF ARROWS make their Empty Bottle debut and our pal TRIPPER GORE will be DJing all the best rock and slop throughout the night.
