21 years and over
A semi-trailer full of bears slaloming down a mountain. Amy Winehouse and Frank Black fight for the wheel. Riffy Chicago rock, haunting ambient moments, torrential female vocal typhoon.
Alias Punch crawled out of the sea with the determination one would expect from a species hellbent on existing. Together, the trio weaves multiple genres to create a sludgy blanket to keep you warm through the winters, and cool in the summers.
Charlatan is the solo project of Chicago native, Omar Rashan. Writing began in 2011 and the repertoire of tunes continues to grow since. Cultivating elements of electronic beats, buzzing synthesizers, catapulted into blaring guitars dripping in reverb, Omar's vocals are delightfully dolloped into the mix, resulting in a poppy, yet textural harmony.
I once watched Todd eat half a duck. His music is really great, too, don't get me wrong. Sensitive and witty, really good melodies. But dang dawg, half a duck.
