9:30pm- The Monkey Machine
Intoxicating Latin Rock band w/songs in English & Spanish. Music to dance all night.
Morningsiders is Magnus Ferguson, Reid Jenkins, Robert Frech, and Sam Sugerman. Initially a solo project for guitarist and songwriter Magnus, the band grew to include Reid on fiddle and harmony vocals, Rob on piano, and Sam on bass. Their sound, a nuanced blend of bluegrass-inspired folk pop, is the result of a collaborative songwriting process and draws from each member’s unique musical background.
7:30pm Sun Looks Down
"Sun Looks Down is a direct result of the palpable chemistry and collaboration between its four members; The evocative songwriting of keyboardist Spencer Horstman is brought to life and then some by the intense musicality of vocalist/lyricist Diana Flanagan, guitarist Jacob Sunshine, and drummer David Su. Sun Looks Down draws inspiration from the extreme fringes of rock, electronica, noise, jazz, and soul, while keeping the music anchored in a deep acoustic pop sensibility. The mood of a given performance can shift from the airy to the earthy; from histrionic to hushed."
