Empty Bottle, Chicago, IL
21 years and over
Seattle’s finest purveyors of filthy jean jacket punk, THE SPITS, will make their highly-anticipated return to the Empty Bottle, their first show with us since 2011's memorable performance at Blackout Fest. Fresh off the "official" release of Kill the Kool, their new LP via In The Red, THE SPITS' latest and greatest is sure to get your adrenaline pumping. With 15 years of experience under their sagging belts, these feral punkers guarantee an unforgettable live show that will make you forget all the manners your mama taught you. These beloved DIY dudes are notorious for combining DEVO's quirky nuances and smashing them with THE RAMONES' reckless abandon, and in the words of Victom of Time, this combo "has been THE SPITS' key to world dominance for over ten years running." We’re stoked to welcome Nashville, TN's USELESS EATERS back to our stage for tonight's wet 'n wild rager. Primarily the project of Memphis-born guitarist/vocalist/leader SETH SUTTON, the EATERS released their first proper LP, Daily Commute, on Tic Tac Totally last year after dishing out a stupid catalog of singles and 7"'s on some of our favorite rock and punk labels (Goner, Nashville’s Dead, Burger, Southpaw, etc.) and we can't wait to get clobbered yet again by their notoriously wild live show. These rambunctious rockers' throbbingly addictive onslaught of mouthwatering punk rock makes this another DO NOT MISS, bonkers-ass Saturday night at ye ol' Empty Bottle. Gravelly, growling and with a healthy dose of pure rock and roll, THE PARTY DOWNERS are all man and they return to open tonight's show. These guys are unapologetically rugged, putting on crazy stage shows with their heavy, distorted rock. And who can resist music inspired by beer, partying and skateboarding? No one, that's who.
