21 years and over
TERRY MALTS’ brand-new sound-platter, Nobody Realizes This Is Nowhere, is being released on September 10, 2013, once again on Slumberland Records. It is the full-length follow-up to last year’s year-end-list-thrashing debut, Killing Time, and arrives hot on the heels of two more blistering 7”s. Expanding on their RAMONES-inspired, fuzz-fueled punk-rock that spun many heads in 2012, the band's new LP is a punch to the gut, a kick in the face, and a tingle in your dingle (wink-wink). Equally dangerous and awesome, Austin, TX's SPRAY PAINT hit the Bottle with their no wave punk attack that'll have you on your knees begging for more/mercy. Chainsaw dual-guitars collide brain-bashing drums and energy-packed gang-vocals for a no-bullshit, off-kilter yet tuneful taste of unrelenting rock 'n roll. Local garage-punk rockers THE DUMPSTER BABIES, a band whose been kicking around for years have finally released their debut album this past March, courtesy of newly christened Tall Pat Records. This fun-lovin' four-piece has played loads of kick-ass shows on our stage and their sound can probably be best described in their own words: "We like to sing, we like to dance, sometimes we make pee-pee in our pants." These surfin’ power poppers love it when you chuck your empty beer cans at em, so come down and hurl away! Featuring members of HOLLOWS and RUNNING, Chicago-based FLORAL WREATHS are a surfy, synthy rock'n'roll newcomer who've warmed our hearts with their gutwrenching, ill-fated love songs. There's not much to find about them currently and tonight will, of course, be the four piece's Empty Bottle debut.
