21 years and over
CRIPPLE CREEK, New York's dynamic cocktail sensation, is coming to Webster Hall and putting on a full-sensory cocktail show. After two smashing nights at Lit Lounge in December of 2012, Cripple Creek is kicking off their first North American tour, bringing with them their cutting edge cocktails and rock and roll stage show. Aaron Polsky, Damon Boelte, Mayur Subbarao, and Michael O'Rourke have come together to create some of the world's most hedonistic, expressive cocktails with, in their own words, "compelling flavors that everyone can relate to".
Cripple Creek evolved from a vision to open a pop-up bar into a traveling road show after a few development sessions. "We want to bring our cocktails to people wherever they are, rather than have them be limited to New York, or wherever we're working."
Polsky is most recently of Amor y Amargo, and has lent his talents to the bars at Eleven Madison Park, Neta, Manon, and The Standard Hotel. Boelte is behind the bar program at Prime Meats, won Star Chefs' 2011 Rising Star award, and is the lead guitarist and a vocalist in the NYC-based band Brothers, as well as the host of his own radio show. Subbarao is known for his highly proficient technical skill, which he has used in developing the cocktails at Dram, Cienfuegos and Amor y Amargo, and also in formulating Bittermens Amère Sauvage and Amère Nouvelle liqueurs, among many others. O'Rourke is the drummer with Boelte in Brothers, bartender at Carroll Gardens' miniBAR, and a dj known for his impressive musical diversity and intuition of the feel of a room.
The two-hour event will feature their signature cocktails, plus a few surprises and musical atmosphere created by the inimitable O'Rourke. Cripple Creek is the most impressive cocktail super-collective since Pouring Ribbons and Trick Dog, and is the first to bring it on the road at this scale.
Tickets are $40 in advance and are good for admission to the full sensory experience.
