Empty Bottle, Chicago, IL
21 years and over
In a collaboration born purely out of mutual respect and the desire for warm weather tourin', THE LUYAS and JULIAN LYNCH are pleased to announce a special June co-headline tour. For each show together, THE LUYAS will act as JULIAN's backing band, while Mr. LYNCH will be sitting in with THE LUYAS during their set, with the bands alternating who goes last each night. THE LUYAS are know for their dynamic and unique brand of indie-art-pop-rock with their live shows always spellbinding that leave you wanting to stay in their world for just a little longer. Their album Animator is out now on Dead Oceans. Enigmatic singer-songwriter JULIAN LYNCH's consistently prolific output of experimental folk cassettes, singles and LPs has wowed critics and fans over the past few years. This year's excellent LP Lines was released on rising weirdo-label Underwater Peoples and it continues LYNCH's bizzare blend of hushed kitchen-sink folk, droney noise, post-rock, jazz and most other genres you can throw in the same sonic blender. Mathy, Krauty, trancey, pretty-much-everythingy experimentalists CONDUCTIVE ALLIANCE open up the show tonight and these Chicago boys have been working tirelessly to craft an original, exhilarating sound that is entirely unique to this city's robust rock landscape. Buckle up, kids, and prepare for their sonic spaceship to blast you into outer space for some interstellar exploration.
