Additional Information

Christopher Jackson will release the album on February 15, 2011 with a live performance and showcase at the Canal Room in New York, NY In the Name of Love was written and co-produced by Jackson who teamed up with Michael Murphy and the Yellow Sound Label's dynamic team Bill Sherman and Michael Croiter to produce an all-live music album. The powerful collection of soulful and personal songs gives us a glimpse into the heart of Christopher Jackson. In The Name of Love is an album that paints the picture of real life experiences and speaks to the everyday man/woman's thoughts with authenticity.

Jackson who recently starred as Benny in the Tony Award Winning Musical hit, In the Heights and T.V. shows such as White Collar, Nurse Jackie, and Gossip Girl takes his career to the next level by releasing his first solo album. As a composer and songwriter, he has written for the iconic television series Sesame Street- lending his music and lyrics to blockbuster songs "I Love My Hair" and "What I Am" performed by Will.I.Am of the Black Eyed Peas. He also has written songs for A-list artists such as LL Cool J, Ne-Yo, Mario, Sean Kingston and many others.

The title song In the Name of Love takes us on a journey with emotive lyrics and heartfelt melodies creating a vibe that only the true essence of R&B/ Soul Music can make you feel. Be A Light delivers the message that we all can lead and help others find their way. With the driving mid-tempo Promises to Keep, he speaks to a man's sense of responsibility as he struggles to provide a life for those he loves. Based on a personal experience of his mother fighting and beating cancer, One More Day explores the depths of his faith in God and tradition while coping with the question of his own mortality.
