Presented in conjunction with our friends at Revolution Brewing and Jim Beam
MIKE REP + TOMMY JAY play side-by-side in Columbus, OH band MIKE REP & THE QUOTAS, a famed underground band who's concocted a mash of home-recorded punk, pop and psychedelia for a few fortunate ears since the 70s. Legends to the underground world of weirdo, home-recorded rock and pop, MIKE REP is also known for having produced albums by such esteemed acts as GUIDED BY VOICES, NEW BOMB TURKS, TIMES NEW VIKING and more. Tonight, he and TOMMY JAY will be performing the Grim-O-Comix LP material from 1974 as a part of the HoZac Blackout Fest Art Show and it's their first Chicago show since the mid-70s! Newly-christened Chicago band NEGATIVE SCANNER who formed out of the ashes of one of our favorite recently-departed garage rock bands, TYLER JON TYLER, will be playing a set of their darker, twisted guitar-drums-bass pop that feels a whole lot like a punch to the nuts. Minneapolis-based punks THE SLEAZE kick things off tonight.
Here's a list of the artists who will be displaying their work around the Bottle:
