HYPOCRISY was formed in Ludvika, Stockholm by guitarist Peter Tägtgren in October 1991. As well as HYPOCRISY, Tägtgren has carved out a considerable and esteemed catalogue of work with other musical concerns such as the industrial solo concept PAIN, LOCKUP, THE ABYSS and BLOODBATH. He also does dual duty as a producer in constant demand, operating from his Abyss Studios base racking up recognition on the other side of the desk with acts such as CHILDREN OF BODOM, DIMMU BORGIR, THERION, CELTIC FROST, DARK FUNERAL, DESTRUCTION and IMMORTAL amongst many others.
Brazilian death metalers KRISIUN triumphantly return with their newest monument of brutality, "The Great Execution", set for release on November 1st in North America and October 31st in Europe!
Mankind’s sense for creativity probably manifests best in the sheer unlimited ways of torturing, mutilating, and killing each other. Successfully applying this atrocious inventiveness to their perversely precise sonic executions, “European death metal butchers” ABORTED with members hailing from Belgium, France & UK have refined and re-defined the tools of their trade on their seventh full-length “Global Flatline” to murder the listener with unimaginably gruesome, shockingly diverse brutality.
ARSIS, which derived its name from the musical term "arsis and thesis" meaning unstressed (up-) and stressed (down-) beats respectively, makes music that is righteously tinged with black & thrash metal influences, but is completely dedicated to expanding the reaches of melodicism and technicality in the genre of death metal.
Chicagoland-based STARKILL feature a unique blend of symphonic black metal, power metal, and melodic death metal. You're gonna hear about them.
