Additional Information

Rarely does a young band emerge with a combination of skills, talents and vision fully developed. But the LA-based quintet The Lonely Wild is that true gem who's writing and arranging talents are only surpassed by its members' ability to work seamlessly as a singular, dynamic voice.
Picking up solid momentum from their critically acclaimed debut EP, Dead End, The Lonely Wild quickly made a name for themselves in and around greater LA with fans such as Nic Harcourt (KCSN), Chris Douridas (KCRW) and Kevin Bronson (BuzzBands LA) on board. and opening for John Doe, Damien Rice, The Elected, Laura Marling and Lord Huron in addition to their highly successful residency at Silverlake's famed Satellite.
The Lonely Wild's The Sun As It Comes is a record that reflects upon the times in which we live while taking the listener on a sonic journey of impressive heights.

Growing up in Yellow Pine, Idaho and eventually relocating to Southern California, Joshua Hanson began writing and performing under the solo acoustic moniker, Yellow Red Sparks. He quickly grew a passionate local following and self released an EP on iTunes entitled, "Simply Put ME In YOUR Place". Since then he has added Goldy (drums and vocals) and Sara Lynn (upright bass, piano, vocals and banjo) as full time members and together, they take Hanson's songs of heartache and make us want to fall in love.
The band released their first full-length record Yellow Red Sparks on January 29, 2013 which was produced by Ted Hutt (Gaslight Anthem, Lucero, Flogging Molly), mixed by Grammy award winner, Ryan Hewitt (Avett Brothers, Red Hot Chili Peppers, We Are Scientists), and mastered by multi-Grammy award winner, Brian Lucey (The Shins, Sigur Ros, The Black Keys). On record, the trio successfully weaves the bare roots of songwriting, the rich harmonies of choir and the symphonic arrangements of old film to create a cinematic texture of their own.
With a strong emphasis on lyrical content, Yellow Red Sparks create music with a timeless feel and continues the tradition of providing an open and honest perspective to raw universal emotions that come with the everyday trials of life.

The Lonelyhearts

The Lonelyhearts formed in San Francisco in the early 2000s. The band is a duo: guitar, keyboard, and two voices. The sound combines elements of folk, pop, and atmospheric synth music. After releasing an EP and full-length on SF-based DIY or Else Records, the band left San Francisco, with one member moving to the East Bay and the other to Iowa City. Eventually the other band member left the Bay Area for Fort Collins. Though they live apart, they come together to work on new material, record new records, and tour the country.
