21 years and over
Australia’s most genius avant-tards THE UV RACE drag melodious pop songs through a devolved, malodorous glam-punk aesthetic, exploring the possibilities of the first wave of punk, and gutter-glitter psych stomp. There are tuneful lamentations of heartbreak and loss alongside very debased, toilet-humor punk licks; Lovecraftian psych-cult morbidity at one moment and rousing anti-anthems against self denial the next. All the way from Pilsen, DAYLIGHT ROBBERY returns playing dark, intense and insanely catchy indie-leaning punk rock with shouty male-female vocals and serious muscle. The members of the trio have played in some of Chicago’s raddest bands, including the PEDESTRIANS, MANHANDLERS and BOYSTOWN and just last year released their sophomore LP, Ecstatic Vision, via Residue Records. Local shit-kickers CULO open with their full-on sonic assault that wages all-out war on listeners with it's blazing hardcore punk. Stand too close and you may get a boot or knee to your jaw - you've been warned.
