It's simple - The Parasites are one of the longest running and most influential Pop Punk bands ever. They helped define the genre, and never changed their sound to fit the latest trend. They've released 8 albums, 20 singles, and have songs on more compilations than you can count. They've done 16 tours, and played nearly 1000 shows all over the US, Europe and Japan. Pop Punk bands from all over the US, Europe, and Japan have recorded covers of Parasites songs. The Parasites have done a lot, however, here's two things the Parasites haven't done: sell out, or give up.
THE REAGANOMICS (members of Ryans Hope)
The 3 members of Ryans Hope put their heads together and wrote 20 stripped down pop punk songs in the summer of 2009. Everyone shares lead vocals, everyone writes about whatever they want, whether it's a song about Buckcherry, or making fun of indecisive scenesters, anything goes. Eddie was recruited to drum so Greg could get his hands on the singer/guitarist position. The emphasis is having a good time, and taking nothing seriously. Sloppy punk rock from 4 sloppy dudes.
Flamingo Nosebleed is a pop punk band from Ft. Wayne, IN. We formed to make music we wanna hear, play with bands we like, and maybe influence somebody. We hate hippies, emo/hardcore kids, and Oprah Winfrey. We like fast 3 chord punk rock.
3 jerks from the south side of Chicago Illinois who love Punk Rock and playing our crappy songs that we write. Fast 3 to 4 chord songs, pizza box set lists and much alcohol abuse... we aint got nothin' to lose... cept your respect.
Do you remember when music was loud, fast... AND FUN!? So do we, and we're carrying the torch with Vatican Junkies! We are a three-piece garage/pop-punk band, putting the ill back in Illinois. Come witness the only punk rock band with swag, Vatican Junkies!
