Additional Information

KAWABATA MAKOTO and his fellow psych jam travelers return, this time playing as ACID MOTHERS TEMPLE. Combining elements of drone, psych, throat singing, improvised freak outs and the kind of heaviness that the world has come to expect from MAKOTO, a sufferer of severe tinnitus (a condition in which the sufferer hears a ringing or pulsing sound not caused by any external stimulus), and the multi-sensory world they’ve created. Touring with ACID MOTHERS along this stretch of roads and cities are TJUTJUNA, a Denver-based psych-storm of a band whose long, whirling tracks are as easy to get lost in as the deserts they occupy. Readying the release of their second LP, TJUTJUNA hit the Bottle for their first time, and fans of our growing local psych scene should gobble up the sonic pills this group is dishing out. SIR ERIC COLIN is a drummer, DJ, record slinger, occultist and sonic terrorist who occupies the drum stool of Chicago cult faves PLUSH and is the figure head of the annual MODchicago weekender, which is North Americas largest gathering for Garage/ Freakbeat & Psychedelia. Tonight he'll be spinning all vinyl garage punk / euro groove dance floor faves.
