Please celebrate the Los Angeles launch of Lauren White’s new cd “MEANT TO BE”
LAUREN WHITE is an accomplished Los Angeles based singer who blends the worlds of Jazz and Cabaret seamlessly with the release of her new self-titled CD, “Lauren White”, produced by Michael Orland (“American Idol”) and Ted Perlman (“Buffalo Sound”). In a recent review of the CD, jazz critic Scott Yanow noted, “Lauren White is poised to make a strong impact on the jazz world.” Lauren has performed from coast to coast from the legendary Cinegrill at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel in Los Angeles to the world famous Triad in New York City.
QUINN JOHNSON is an acclaimed pianist and composer who has lived in four different countries on three different continents, and has played music from around the world with Cuban, Brasilian, Persian, African, Middle Eastern and Chinese artists. He has performed and/or recorded with Steve Tyrell (for whom he serves as musical director), Rita Coolidge, John Densmore (of The Doors), Flora Purim, Airto Moreira, Rod Stewart, Diana Ross, Martin Short, Richard Carpenter, Clare Fischer, Jeff Kashiwa, legendary conguero Francisco Aguabella, Jack Sheldon, Wayne Brady, Tito Gomez, Down to the Bone, Marilyn Scott, Jerry Seinfeld, and Dancing with the Stars. He has also appeared on many TV shows including the Tonight Show, the Today Show, the David Letterman Show, and his playing can be heard on TV and feature films. He has had the pleasure of playing music at some of the larger jazz festivals around the world, such as Montreux, Vitoria (Spain), Detriot, San Jose, San Sebastion (Spain), and Bangkok, as well as performing in such venues as Avery Fisher Hall at Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall and Boston Symphony Hall.
