The Aussie invasion continues, as we welcome veteran rocker Paul Kelly. Though he’s had nineteen solo albums, two live albums, and a few choice soundtracks (Lantanna and Jindabyne), Kelly’s muse keeps him moving toward a a growing series of creative paths. Kelly’s embarked on novels, with his first work of prose, How To Make Gravy, published in 2010. How To Make Gravy is accompanied by a CD box set of live recordings and an audio book with readings from Paul and some of Australia’s finest actors Cate Blanchett, Russell Crowe, Hugh Jackman, Judy Davis and Ben Mendelsohn. This work is now available as an app that gets the music and the readings going right along with the text! In August 2012, Paul Kelly – Stories Of Me, a feature-length documentary, premiered in Melbourne. For the first time on film, Kelly speaks candidly about the people who have helped shape his life and music. Of course, Kelly hasn’t gotten away from music. His most recent album is Spring And Fall. Come see one of Australia’s great musicians, and while you’re at it, come see one of Cleveland’s greats, too! That’s none other than Brent Kirby (Jack Fords, Brent Kirby and the Lost Fortunes) with session pedal steel player par excellence Al Moss.
