The exceptionally creative guitarist David Gilmore has recorded and performed with many of today’s most influential contemporary musicians. He has worked with Wayne Shorter, appearing on the Grammy Award–winning Verve album, High Life; and gigged and/or recorded with Dave Douglas, Muhal Richard Abrams, Sam Rivers, Cassandra Wilson, Don Byron, Uri Caine, Randy Brecker, David Sanborn, and Christian McBride, among many others. Ritualism, Gilmore’s 2001 debut album, received international critical praise and was nominated for the 2001 Debut CD of the Year by the Jazz Journalists Association.
