Current lead guitarist for the Dave Matthews Band, Tim Reynolds has had a prolific career of his own that reaches back into the early 90s. During those days, Dave Matthews was an up-and-coming singer-songwriter in Tim’s adopted hometown of Charlottesville, VA. The friendship that Reynolds and Matthews forged in those early days meant that Reynolds would occasionally join DMB as a sideman while keeping busy with his own group, TR3. These days, he splits time as not just a permanent member of The Dave Matthews Band (and Dave Matthews and Friends), but as an artist with plenty to say on his own. Hence, this long-anticipated tour of Reynolds’ own material. Welshly Arms, featuring reknowned Cleveland session guitarist Sam Getz, opens tonight’s show with the kind of blues-rock that will should have this classic-rock town moaning in beery pleasure.
