Ben Jorgensen had it all. The band that he created and fronted, Armor For Sleep, was a staple in a scene that went from existing solely in the form of basement shows to selling out the worlds biggest arena's in a short matter of time. Along with bands like My Chemical Romance and Fall Out Boy, AFS helped carry the torch for the underground "emo" scene, which exploded into the mainstream and eventually consumed itself under its own weight. With the release of two albums on an independent label and one on a major, AFS managed to sell over 350,000 albums in the U.S. alone. The group has since disbanded, and in October 2010 Ben announced that he had recorded a solo EP entitled "There Is Nowhere Left To Go" and would be releasing it on iTunes and digitally across the world on October 5th. The EPcharted at #4 on the iTunes singer/songwriter chart and the single "Changed My Mind" climbed to #1 on the purevolume.com listeners’ chart. The sound of the EP is remnant of early Coldplay, Duncan Sheik, and Elliot Smith. There is no blasting distorted guitar. There is no heavy breakdown. There will be no moshpits this time around. "I just had to write these songs in this way. It feels right to me. What I want and need to communicate is through this sound". "There Is Nowhere Left To Go” is available on iTunes now.
