 Pretend Electric was formed in Los Angeles California in the winter of 2010 by amigos Chris Newell and Ian McAllister. After making a prolific quiver of wild-eyed home recordings, spanning two years of musical ideas, amigos Takuma Ieto and Michael Crankshaw jumped aboard the ship to collectively hold down the rhythm section. Everyone in the band plays everything, and sings everything, and writes everything, and gets along really well. The band is now making its way throughout the rock n' roll pockets of southern California as well as playing on the beach for the love of it. On September 19th, 2012 the band released it's first studio EP recorded at Revolution 9 in Hollywood.
