It's another Free with RSVP show - aren't you lucky, you hard rockin' maniacs! Chicago’s FAKE LIMBS make their Empty Bottle debut tonight on the heels of one of the best, noisiest punk records our fair city spewed out in 2012. That very record, Man Feelings, picked us up and threw us around the room upon first listen, and it left us with an ear-to-ear grin on our drunken mouths as it repeatedly smacked us upside the head. An aggressive yet cohesive blend of concussive, unrelenting percussion, wild, desperate guitars, and unhinged, hysterical vocals from frontman STEPHEN SOWLEY, this four-piece’s live show is a site to be seen, and you can damn well expect STEPHEN to quickly leave the stage to scream and spit in the faces of those who will let him. Local garage rock quartet BLASTED DIPLOMATS hit our stage second for tonight's down and dirty rock party with their earnest, ass-kicking approach that makes all the girls want them and all the guys want to be them. Self-described un-genre rockers WE REPEL EACH OTHER were sent here from outer space to tear apart your ear drums and kick you to the curb. Playing by their own rules and sticking their middle fingers up The Man and The Music Industry’s ass with a bloody, toothless smile on their faces, these noisey, abrasive young hooligans kick absolute ass in the purest sense, keeping the DIY punk aesthetic in the dark, dingy corners from whence it came.
