Additional Information

Robert Francis is a multi-instrumentalist who blurs the lines between indie-rock & singer-songwriter. A KROQ Locals Only favorite, Robert grew up in LA and has performed to sold out audiences around the world. Having grown up in a family immersed in all genres of music, Robert has been able to pull from a whole host of influences in his most recent album Strangers In the First Place (Vanguard). The album showcases the emotional richness of his gravel tinged baritone and depth in songwriting, which critics and fans have long praised. We’ll also get a glimpse of some new songs from Robert’s next album he’s currently recording with Thom Monahan (Devendra Banhart, Vetiver, Lavender Diamond).

Trevor Hall’s ability to write universal songs infused with underlying themes of devotion and community is rooted in inspiration from his heroes Ben Harper and Bob Marley. He’s toured with The Wailers, Jimmy Cliff, and Michael Franti. Now based in Southern California, Hall’s music reflects sun-soaked spirit—as captured in his most recent album Everything Everytime Everywhere (Vanguard). An artist who shares a special bond with his audience, Trevor has sold out venues across LA and the United States. He will share a special intimate acoustic set with us.

Brian Wright is an LA favorite with a unique songwriting perspective he describes as “somewhere between Velvet Underground and Woody Guthrie.”  Having played every instrument on his most recent album House on Fire (Sugar Hill), the collection of songs brings the driving sound of a cross-country bound train heading for either heartache or redemption. Wright has taken the album on the road with tireless tours across the US and Europe and will open tonight’s show with his rollicking band composed of some of LA’s best musicians.
