17 years and over
With the majority of the bands members dating back to collaborations in the early 90’s with Tribal Opera and later Cupcakes (signed to DreamWorks), this Chicago-based quartet is nothing short of local music legend. Featuring Preston Graves (Tribal Opera, Cupcakes) on vocals, Matt Walker (Tribal Opera, Cupcakes, Filter, Garbage, Smashing Pumpkins, Morrissey) on drums, Scott Tallarida (Cassius Clay, EXO) on guitar and vocals, and Spock (Tribal Opera, Dick Prall) on bass and vocals, these guys boast a musical resume as long as it is impressive.
Stuttgart – named after the birth city of Graves – came to fruition shortly after the dissolution of Cupcakes, as a way for Walker and Graves to continue their collaborations while the former was on the road with new projects. Originally going by the name Kill for Firecracker, the duo realized that their little vignettes had grown into full-blown songs. After six years of songwriting, and with Walker publicly splitting from his most recent gig with Morrissey, Tallarida and Spock were brought in to round out the project, and the current line-up was born.
