21 years and over
A lot has been said about TY SEGALL over the past few years - he's been called a "garage rock wunderkind," received sprawling editorial profiles in SPIN and Pitchfork, and has received seemingly universal acclaim for his insanely prolific output since setting out on his own in 2008. After releasing three stellar records in 2012, all under different monikers, it might seem like TY's hitting his peak. Sure, it'll be hard to match the year he had. He's moved out of the basements and warehouses and into huge clubs and even bigger festivals. We're stoked to be welcoming TY SEGALL and his band back to our humble stage for two sold out shows and think we're correct to assume that he's only going to keep getting better in 2013, and beyond. Joining TY for this leg of the tour are Memphis punks EX-CULT, who released one of the best, most underappreciated punk records of 2012, out via the esteemed Goner Records. And who was at the helm producing? TY SEGALL, of course. Formerly known as SEX CULT, these up-and-comers play ripping punk rawk like none other, incorporating angular post-punk, flying saucer fuzz guitar, snotty vocals and bash-your-head-in energy that NEEDS to be seen live to be believed. We're so stoked to have them on this bill. Featuring members of CACAW, GA’AN and CAVE, progressive speed metal power trio ZATH return with ear-splitting intensity that'll leave your brain bleeding out your nose. They're no strangers to our stage and they opened for TY SEGALL at our Pitchfork Fest After Party in July. Well, TY was so impressed he asked specifically to have them back for this late show - don’t miss the violent power that these gents consistently bring to the stage.
